Amy Barouch
Group Executive, Janison Assessments
Amy is a purpose-led executive leader who builds, transforms and scales high-performing companies. As Janison’s Group Executive of Assessments and our Chief Technology Officer, she leverages Janison’s capabilities to help make better educational outcomes accessible to every learner, regardless of circumstance. Dr Paul Montuoro
PhD Chief Psychometrician
Paul joined Academic Assessment Services in 2017. Paul is responsible for assessing test validity, reliability and stability. His major focus has been developing the vertical scales linking and equating all AAS assessment scales to NAPLAN scales. He oversees the development of new test products and reporting formats. Prior to joining AAS Paul was a researcher at La Trobe University. He also has had extensive educational experience in State and Independent schools in Victoria. Paul is currently undertaking further research at the University of Western Australia in conjunction with Prof Stephen Humphry.
Nick Connolly
Head of Analysis & Reporting
Nick has a wide range of expertise in the theory and the practice of tests and test data. He has worked on a wide range of assessments including NAPLAN and PISA. He has also run major assessment research projects such as the National Assessment Project – Science Literacy. Nick routinely provides expert advice to external organisations who are developing their own assessments. His interests include effective use of item metadata to develop richer assessment reporting.
Tracey Ralston
Head of Exam Management
Tracey has been taking care of the key administrative tasks for Academic Assessment Services since 2009. She plans the entire testing calendar for the year, ensures that we have enough team members to administer the tests, refines and manages the process for delivering results to our schools, and manages many other tasks that help us to effectively deliver our services. In addition to her vital administration skills, she also helps to maintain the important relationships we have with our schools.
Kerry Tremaine
Head of Assessment Content
Kerry is an assessment expert with extensive experience managing assessment development projects both in Australia and internationally. She comes from a teaching background spanning some 20 years. Kerry and her team of curriculum experts are motivated by a desire to create assessments that are engaging, challenging and enlightening for students and which provide teachers and school leaders with the data they need to meet the individual learning needs of every student.
Jan Hart
Manager - Learning Analytics
Jan has had a long and distinguished career in education. Prior to joining AAS, Jan was Deputy Principal-Curriculum at The Scots College; Principal-The Avondale Grammar School, Singapore, and more recently Head of High School at Moriah College. Jan understands the complex dynamics of school operations through extensive K – 12 leadership experience in schools in NSW and Singapore. She has a commitment to evidence based research and has always believed in the importance of the use of valid and reliable data to inform school improvement agendas. For many years Jan was a member of AIS Professional Learning Advisory Group and the AHISA Directors of Studies Conference Committee. She has presented at conferences locally and in interstate and international settings.
